Two of my all time favorite authors. James Baldwin has been in my life since elementary school when I wanted to look smart and read an old book my grandfather had on his shelf. As for Chinua Achebe, Sophomore year of undergrad, the sexiest teacher on campus taught a class, I took said class, sexy teacher had us read “things fall apart”  and I fell in love with Mr. Achebe.
